IE Tunes? FoxIE Tunes? FoxyTunes for IE!
Ever since the first version of FoxyTunes, music lovers have been asking us to support additional players, platforms and browsers.
We’ve been constantly extending FoxyTunes and now it’s time to announce the latest addition:
The first beta of FoxyTunes for Internet Explorer is here!

One of our main goals with FoxyTunes is to make it truly universal. Now, FoxyTunes supports Firefox, IE, Flock, Thunderbird and more than 30 media players on Windows, Linux and MacOS.
As with our popular Firefox extension, now you can play your tunes and Explore the Web of Music while surfing with IE.

Please keep in mind that this version of FoxyTunes is still in beta, so you might see some beta quirks - please let us know if you do. Also, not all of the features of the Firefox version are available - we’ll be adding those in future releases.

We would love to hear any and all of your feedback about this version - please send us your comments, suggestions, questions and bug reports using this form.
P.S. As always - stay tuned for new and cool stuff in upcoming FoxyTunes for Firefox versions! ![]()

This just gets better, i mostly use it for controlling xbmc and it does a brilliant job of that. works perfectly, the only thing i can say is that if it could control more than one xbox it would be slightly better, but brilliant program all round, well done

FoxIE is the name of a rogue IE extension that is disguised spyware. If you actually did that, some people would go to the FoxIE site and check it out, and even worse, install it. Other than that, though, make it FoxIEtunes and you’ve got my vote!
Although, now that increasingly more extensions (including StumbleUpon) are being built for IE as well as Firefox, less users are going to switch. That’s just one thing… I actually am one of those users. I got introduced to Firefox through an extension.

It’s kind of ironic that an extension evolved from Firefox to IE (it’s usually the other way around :P). And because of this, will we be seeing a new name change in the near future? It’d kind of be weird knowing “Foxy” came from Firefox’s suffix.

I need skins!! Badly!
And also, I think it would be so much better if you could get Foxy Tunes beside the address bad in IE7. Is it possible?
December 13th, 2006 at 9:52 pm
@XeroTrinity - yes, skins are on our todo list, stay tuned
As to placing FoxyTunes beside the address bar in IE7 - we’ll keep exploring this, but it looks like IE7 doesn’t allow anything to be placed on the address bar. While in IE6 the address bar was just another toolbar that could be customized, repositioned etc., in IE7 it’s a special UI element that cannot really be customized.

I have it on my IE7, and the only problem i have is that, How come it does not have a Continuous Play or a Shuffle Play?

@Sly E Edwards - we are planning to add these functions in a future version.
