We all here at FoxyTunes want to express our support for the struggle to save the future of Internet radio.
Today is the “day of silence“, in which Web music broadcasters such as Yahoo, Pandora, Rhapsody, MTV and many others express their protest against the extremely high new Internet radio royalty rates that threaten the future of music as we all envision it.

We’re all connected here in the middle of the Internet. It is our mean to stay democratic- meaning that i can listen to many bells, not just mine only-Radios are everybody right. Greed can’t be so important: we listen to our own music , besides.
If you , members of a government, forbid people from around the world to listen Internet radios from anywhere, you are keeping us from buying the music and words your artists make and the whole world enjoy.
How do you think we come to know those creators?

I’m new to the internet, and if we can have free access to free-market ads and other consumeristic propaganda, why can’t we have free access of ideas through internet radio?
Regular radio is so bad always wearing a corporate face, and it’s hard enough to find pirate radio let alone in the big city. I’m glad there is still individuality in internet radio, and there are others in a similar mindset out there.

I just met netradio, and I’ve got to say to all the congress representatives in the US, this is a wonderful way of getting to know a vast range of musicians from all over the world, including the states (I am in Portugal and now listening to american radios). It’s a easy way of promoting musicians, for listeners will search for more info on them. From a marketing point of view, it’s very interesting. And in a human approach, contact and impressions so far away, but now, so close, made possible, it’s just incredible!
