New Signatunes allows posting any song you can think of!
A new FoxyTunes version is here, and it introduces more options for signing your mails and blog posts with music.
Say you’re writing an email, and would like to sign it with the song that was playing 10 minutes ago. Until now, you had to go back and play that song again in order to be able to sign with it. But what if you heard this song on an Internet radio and there’s no way to go back? The new FoxyTunes version allows you to choose any song from your recent playback history and post it as a Signatune.

Better yet, say you’re writing someone an email and want to send them a subliminal music message with your Signatune, for example:

Now playing: The Doors - Hello, I Love You
The new version allows you to insert any song you can think of as a Signatune - just open the “Post any song” dialog and enter the song name.

The latest version also adds Signatunes support for the new Gmail and Yahoo Mail versions.
So, check it out here and let us know what you think.

Hey Alex
Maybe you noticed and heard of Songza.com and other sites like it?
I no longer listen to my local music, rather when I want to hear a song I will use YouTube or Songza type websites. Though I’d much prefer to use FoxyTunes with Songza like functionality.
Will you be adding a search box to FoxyTunes that allows users to search and play their web music selection(audio streamed from YouTube or music blogs) through FoxyTunes? This would turn Firefox for me into a celestial music jukebox!
Maybe this has been added? IF not I hope you add it! I think your users and the Firefox community would really dig it!
Peace, Ryan

Sorry to be negative, but when can we expect to see Rhapsody stand-alone support?
January 6th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
I wish it would play the song if someone opened the email and had that song as well.

With the RIAA suing anyone with ears, and stating that making a backup of a CD that you actually purchased is copyright infringement. How can this service possibly be legal?

How do you get FoxyTunes to display in the browser? I’ve installed it twice and I can’t find it.

Why doesn’t foxytunes do signatures with Thunderbird? I don’t know of anyone who can get it to work, and every thread about it goes unanswered. What is up with that?
