With FF 3 b4 and Windows Vista, FoxyTunes crashes when you right click an MP3 link in a web-page and select “Pay Media”

  5. Jonathan Says:

I’m too lazy to sign up to the forum, but the foxytunes firefox 3 beta constantly crashes my firefox 3 beta 5 on ubuntu 8.04. Took me 3 days to figure out what was causing the problems as I wasn’t really interacting with foxytunes, it was simply installed.

Once 3-4 windows/tabs are open, FF constantly freezes and has to be killed off, id say it crashed about every 5 minutes. I can provide some debug info if anyone is interested in looking at this issue.

  6. Josh Says:

Just installed foxytunes on build 1 of FF 3 RC1, I’m getting many crashes due to data execution prevention when clicking several of the buttons on the control bar.

  7. Katie Says:

I have b5 installed and I had the same problem as Jonathan. I had to uninstall Firefox completely and install it again so it’d stop crashing.

I love FoxyTunes, I hope the problem will be fixed soon. I miss it!

  8. phil Says:

will there be a version for firefox 3.0 RC1 ??

  10. Tony Says:

Is there a way to turn off the Yahoo Music Widget that show up on pages with audio?

  11. Michael Says:

What about AMD64 support? We 64-bitters are SO desperate because we’re deemed to live without foxytunes.

  12. Harrison Says:

Just installed - great product - but wish that it supported “skip this song” in Pandora. This is my primary music player, and without that function Pandora becomes just ordinary radio. Any plans on this?

  13. ToSensei Says:

doesn’t work with rythmbox on ubuntu 7.10 - just brings player in front of screen

  14. ACTPOHABT Says:

Is there a support for gmusicbrowser in Ubuntu?

  15. Neil Says:

    please add support for prism!
though hacking the install.rdf allows prism to install foxytunes, no toolbar shows up…
foxytunes + prism would be the perfect way to listen to pandora and control it with multimedia keyboards!

  16. Kartofel Says:

  18. Jace Says:

I have the same problem as kartofel. Firefox 3 crashes when using Foxytunes 3.0.2 in conjunction with media player 11. I’ve had to disable the extension.

  19. Rico Says:

FoxyTunes is incompatible. Windows Vista x64 with Firefox 3 and FoxyTunes 3.0.2. Firefox crashes with almost every function of FoxyTunes.

  20. Timothy Says:

foxytunes crashes on windows vista business w/sp1 using firefox 3.

  21. Tyler Says:

Installed the new version for Firefox 3, unfortunately it forces my Data Execution Prevention to shut down my firefox as soon as i open it, hope there is a fix somehow and soon, i need foxytunes!!!

  22. James Says:

I can’t get any audio on any site I’ve tried to work with Foxy Tunes enabled. I disabled it & I can get audio again.

  24. Be Says:

Just making sure I wasn’t the only one having a problem with FoxyTunes and Firefox 3…DEP closes Firefox every freakin’ time…

  25. Ryan Says:

I am also having the problem with FF3, FoxyTunes, and WMP 11. When I try to use them at the same time, FF3 crashes immediately. I’ve also had the data execution prevention problem, which I suspect is linked to the fact that I’m running Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

Please fix? I miss it so!

  26. Jacob Says:

Can I just say that foxytunes (the latest version) is completely incompatible with firefox 3! It’s crashed with every function of foxytunes. I use the windows media player 11 option, and whenever I click on any foxytunes button firefox 3 crashes! And I loved foxytunes in firefox 2, so whatever the problem is, get it fixed for all us firefox 3 users!

  27. Luc Says:

Same problem as the others: Firefox 3 (Vista home Premium) crashes when one of the Foxy Tunes-buttons is used. I used it allways in Firefox 2, so I hope it will be fixed soon!

  28. JR Says:

  32. Michael Holden Says:

I recently installed FF 3.0.1 and then added FoxyTunes 3.0.4 but can’t see any Foxytunes control bar anywhere, although nothing seems to be failing. It used to work fine on FF2… I am using Real player 10.5. Any ideas? Do you have to do something special to get it started? I see the options button is grayed out so where else is there to look?
Thanks for any assistance on this… Michael

  33. Anthony Says:

I upgraded to FF3.0.1 and the version of Foxytunes I had kept crashing FF. Even hovering over it with the mouse would crash FF. I uninstalled foxytunes, then downloaded it again and so far it has been fine.

  34. Albert Goodwyn Says:

FoxyTunes works with my IE browser, but not with Firefox any more. It formerly worked fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both FF and FT three times. Still does not show in the FF screen. Options button greyed out, just like Michael Holden says.
I like FT a lot. Please tell me Mozilla has not neglected it.

  35. Steve Says:

I have FF 3.0.1 and I have the same issues as Michael Holden and Albert Goodwyn. I too have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and all to no avail. I am using Yahoo! Music Jukebox (2.2.2.058). Any help forthcoming????

  36. Andrew Says:

I had the problem when I upgraded to FF3 also. Greyed out my foxy tunes. I unistalled the add on and reinstalled, all is well now.

    Good night.
I have firefox 3.0.4 and foxytunes do not work with Amarok. Is there any solution?

  40. Great Lake Boy Says:

I posted this some where else but I think it was wrong spot! I don’t get the insert incon when I post on my wordpress.org blog. What am I doing wrong??? I miss the icon!

  41. Southren Rider Says:

I want to add my voice to those who raise the issue of FF 3.0, FT 3.0 and not having Amarok 1.4.9.1 working with FT. I also run a 64bit system using ubuntu Hardy. I use FT on my Windows laptop and enjoy the ease of use. That same use I would like to have on my home desktop. If there is effort on going can you let us 64 Linux folks know of any progress? In the mean time I figure to uninstall FT since I cannot use it.
