FoxyTunes now available for Yahoo! Messenger
Let’s face it, we’re addicted to music. We want our music to be with us wherever we go. Well, now we’ve got one more place you can take your music. The new FoxyTunes plug-in for Yahoo! Messenger puts your music at your fingertips while you’re chatting with your friends.
Just like FoxyTunes for Firefox and Internet Explorer, FoxyTunes for Yahoo! Messenger let’s you control your favorite media players. The plug-in also updates your Messenger status so you can let your friends know what you’re listening to. And, of course, you can use FoxyTunes to help you find more information about the music you’re listening to.
To get the plug-in, visit the Yahoo! Messenger gallery.
You can also get the plug-in from the Plug-ins Manager in Messenger by clicking “Add Plug-ins”.

Great plugin!
I enjoy chaging my YM status line with this plugin and my iTunes.
Besides, it doesn’t change the status line if I play music that “shared by another iTunes” why?

it doesnt work..wont install…ive rebooted several times..tried re-installing nothing..

i did both suggested solutions..and nothing still worked…I tried reinstalling ..rebooting…could be a problem in the yahoo file…don’t think it’s my computer

Followed all the steps, does not work for me but it does for other contacts, I run Windows 7 64 bit, I will try reinstalling Yahoo Messenger all together, I however doubt taht will work as everything else short of that has failed.
Neat idea if it worked.

Yeah…..mine’s not working either. It keeps saying, “Oops! We’ve had an error. ‘
FoxyTunes encountered an issue. Restarting your computer will fix the issue. No rush, whenever you’re ready.
Let me rephrase this for everyone lol
Oops! We’ve had the 20th error. FoxyTunes encountered numerous issues. Restarting your computer may not fix these issues. No frustrations just suicidual thoughts, whenever you’re ready.
Help would be useful and no I’m not being a smart arse just getting annoyed by the errors sorry. Hope I get to try out the plugin sometime.

I also get the same message “FoxyTunes encountered an issue. Restarting your computer will fix the issue. No rush, whenever you’re ready.” on my Windows Vista, but on my WinXP, it works. Is there any OS issue for the plugin?

after installing it, it does not show the song name neither the artist name in my status….but wen the song keeps playing foxy tunes displays in my plugins but not on my status……y is dat….. I’ve tried allot but no use….plz help me….thx…..

OK I want to link the song name in my status but it keeps going back to the foxy tunes link is there a way to stop that?
